Quit Smoking Support Groups in San Antonio

Many people, including those in San Antonio are trying to quit smoking but are finding it difficult to do it alone. A support group can provide an extra helping hand and encouragement when you need it while you quit and long afterwards. The following links are for online support groups as I could not find any in-person meetings in the San Antonio area.

Support Groups

Stopping smoking is only one of the many support groups available on this Web site.

American Lung Association of Texas

The American Lung Association has a wealth of information and programs to help San Antonio residents quit nicotine.

QuitNet

My personal favorite, QuitNet not only has an online support group, but also provides resources to help you achieve your goals.

Nicotine Anonymous

Following a 12-step program, Nicotine Anonymous is for those who are quitting cold turkey or using cessation aids.

Smoking is unhealthy and causes many more problems than just heart disease and lung cancer. If you need help to quit, start off by visiting one of these support groups and talk to your doctor. There are many medications and cessation aids available that can help you become nicotine-free.
